Frequently Asked Questions
Can I participate in some of the session? Do I have to come for the whole day?
We encourage anyone who is able to commit for the full day to do so. However, we realize that there are many reasons why you might not be able to commit to a full day, and want to honor that by providing a few ways for you to participate. Please note–you must register to attend if you plan to join for any part of the day. We will send out confirmation emails in advance of the session with final timings. Timing below is subject to adjustment.

Will there be childcare?
Yes. Please let us know about your childcare needs on the registration form so we can plan accordingly.
Is the process accessible?
We are currently exploring ways to make this process more accessible to those who may be blind, hard of hearing, sensitive to sensory input, or physically/cognitively challenged by a full day of participatory events. If you are interested in joining efforts to make this experience welcoming and inclusive for all, we’d love to hear from you!
Will there be food?
Yes, we will provide food and beverage for all participants free of charge. Please inform us of any allergies or restrictions you may have on the registration form.
Can I come to one session or do I need to come to them all?
You can come to one, some or all of them. We’re hoping to get some people who are able and excited to participate in all of the workshops, but it is not a requirement. We will also be developing a form that will allow people to respond to specific questions virtually–so if you are not able to attend any you can still provide input and have your voice heard and represented in the work.
Do I need to register or can I just show up on the day of?
We ask that you register if you plan to come for any part of the day. We need to order food for participants and we have specific processes that require we know how many people are attending. If you have a unique circumstance, please reach out via our contact form.
Can I bring my dog?
We recommend you leave your dog at home. We want you to be fully present during our time together, and worry that animals may make that challenging–both for yourself and for others. Service dogs are always welcome.
Where will these events be held?
All of the public workshops will be held in the Eastworks ballroom, located at the east end of the main floor hallway. Registered participants will receive further details via email in advance of the sessions.
Is the space accessible?
The Eastworks Ballroom is accessible via wheel chair or other mobility support. The venue is on the ground floor of the Eastworks building. If you have specific accessibility-related questions don’t hesitate to reach out via our contact form.
